Redwater LUB Update
The Town of Redwater has engaged ISL Engineering and Land Services (ISL) to assist with an update of its Land Use Bylaw (LUB). The LUB is one of the most important land use planning documents for a municipality. The LUB guides day-to-day review planning and development activities.
The last major update to the LUB was completed in 2009. Since then, the document has been revised and amended in response to emerging issues.
Town Council and Administration now want a full overhaul of the LUB to create a clear and concise document that reflects current community needs and provides Council, Administration, developers, builders, and the public with continued confidence in the development process.
In January 2023, the Town and ISL will conduct a stakeholder engagement session and host an online community survey to gather input on areas of interest and priorities for the new LUB. Feedback from stakeholders and the public, as well as Council and Administration, will inform the forthcoming changes to the LUB.

Stay Tuned! To stay up to date on the project, please revisit this webpage periodically and watch the Town’s social media and ads in the newspaper for more project updates.
In spring/summer 2023, you will be invited to attend an in-person and virtual open house and pop-up events to review and provide feedback on the draft LUB.
