Bylaws

Bylaws are legislation that the municipality enacts to govern and regulate various aspects of municipal operations. There are some Bylaws that the Province requires a municipality to enact such as a Tax Rate Bylaw or a Land Use Bylaw.  

Policies

Policies are established to ensure similar matters are dealt with in a consistent way.  Policies establish general guidelines that council sets for the administration to follow.  They form the base for developing procedures. Administration then provides programs and services to the residents according to policy. All policies have been adopted through council resolutions which can be found in the Council minutes.
